Tarot Card
Tarot cards have become popular tools using which readers can make predictions for people and thus help them in overcoming their problems. The origin of tarot cards is not certain. The tarot deck consists of 78 cards that are broken up into two parts called the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. Each card in the deck has a special symbolic meaning and represents some important aspect of life.
A tarot card reader performs several rituals before reading the cards. Some readers use candles when making readings. There are others who set up their equipment in certain ways before reading the cards. A few offer prayers and use crystal balls when making readings. Different readers perform different rituals depending on what assists them in making accurate readings.
There are different types of spreads that can be used by tarot card readers when reading the cards. The most popular spread is the four card diamond shaped layout. In this spread the first card at the top point of the diamond symbolizes the romantic life of the person for whom the reading is being made. The card on the right point represents finances. The card on the left point represents career. The card which is at the lower point of the diamond is symbolic of health and happiness.
The type of spread or layout varies from a reader to another depending on what style the reader is comfortable reading with. The basic meaning behind every card in all varieties of spreads or layouts remains the same.
